Role: Senior Data Engineer

Location: Hybrid, Porto, Portugal

Required Skills:

• 3 to 5 years building data pipelines on public cloud services, preferably AWS (Azure/GCP also considered).
• 1+ years in data solution architecture, design, development, and support.
• Proven experience with database architecture, ETL, BI, Big Data, ML, and Advanced Analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Spark ecosystems (Hadoop is a plus).
• Experience with pipeline orchestration tools: Airflow, Step Functions, AWS Workflow.
• Demonstrated work with Lakehouse architectures (Apache Iceberg) and table optimizations such as compaction and Z-Order.
• Software development experience in Python, SQL, and SQL Server; familiarity with SSIS packages and Docker.
• Exposure to AWS services: Lambda, Glue, Crawlers, Step Functions, AWS Workflow, DynamoDB, AWS Batch.
• Experience with DevOps and Agile practices, infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform), and artifact/vulnerability management.
• Awareness of cloud foundation services: networking, security, storage, and IAM.
• Preferred: experience with container-based applications (Docker) and Linux-based infrastructure.
• Fluent English (written and spoken). French is a plus.
